One of my teaching priorities is to help my students become self-aware dancers. To understand what they’re doing, why they’re doing it and what to do when they make a mistake/mess up!

Bachelorette Party 💃🪩🎉

I was excited to be ask to take a class for a bachelorette party recently. I choreographed a original routine to one of the bride-to-be’s favourite songs!

It was such a fun, empowering class and everybody did incredibly. Especially those who had little to no dance background 👏👏👏

The bachelorette parties I have done in the past were burlesque based so it was lots of fun to work on a hip hop/commercial class for this group!

⭐️Dancer of the Week⭐️

This week’s Dancer of the Week is Maddie 💜

Last week in Jazz class, Maddie was sitting against the wall, and I told her she should be warming up. She reminded me that the week before, I had actually asked her to do that stretch! 😂😅

It’s wonderful to see our students like Maddie retaining what they learn in class, going home, practicing, and working so hard. Maddie also always arrives early to warm up before class which is just amazing 👏👏👏

Last week, we said goodbye to the incredible Bobbie and her family after five amazing years at LivDance! 🫶

Bobbie was in our very first Preschool Dance class back in 2022. From the moment she started with us at just 3 years old, Bobbie brought a natural spark and joy to every class. She filled the room with laughter, positivity, and enthusiasm! ⭐️

Bobbie has been such a light in our studio and truly embodies all that LivDance is. Her passion for performance, her kindness toward others, her hard work and perseverance and her boundless joy in every class are at the heart of what we do.

Bobbie and her family are an intrinsic part of LivDance and so many of us will feel the loss of their presence. Bobbie’s bright smile, kind nature, and genuine love for dance and performing have made her such a special part of our community. Having students like Bobbie who have such a genuine love and passion for dancing and performance is truly amazing to witness. It has been such a privilege to watch her grow from a curious preschool dancer into a confident and talented performer 🥹🥰

Wherever Bobbie’s journey takes her, she will always be a part of the LivDance community and I'm sure our paths will cross again! 🙏

We wish her and her family all the very best in this next chapter and know she will continue to shine brightly wherever she goes 💜✨

This week’s Dancer of the Week is Minka! In class last week, Minka stepped outside of her comfort zone and brought bigger, bolder movement and energy to the choreography than we’ve seen before.

I’m always so proud when our Dancers push themselves to be the best that they can be. Amazing work, Minka! 👏👏👏
