Motivational Monday: We have been MIA for Motivational Monday but today I took another leap out of my comfort zone and I am challenging you to do it atleast once this week

This trip I have realised how small my comfort bubble is... I am not a thrill seeker but mum forced me into it and while my hands cramped up from holding the bar to tight.. I am alive and I can tick another successful effort out of my comfort zone.

Yesterday I reached far outside my comfort zone. Firstly the drive up the mountain was enough for me to tick that box but then to get on one of these things and drive it took it to another level.

Getting outside your comfort zone is important for our growth and as players if we always do thing we know and what we are good at we will never improve and take the next step in our development. Challenge yourself to do things you are not so good at. It will only make you better.

I am completely afraid of heights and even though I was freaking out almost the entire time.... thinking about it now I'm glad I did it.

Motivational Monday. Stop trying to find the easy way out to then find the grass isn't greener. Loyalty is a big thing in my life and sometimes we need to make touch decisions to better ourselves but do it for the right reasons. You don't want to regret it. Don't forget the people that have helped you. When things get hard water your own grass. Don't make excuses. Take responsibility for how green your grass is.

Last day of work for the year. Even the hockey balls look like they need a break. Thank you to all my clients and athletes for a busy but successful year. Source Coaching will be out of action till the 8th of January. Have a Merry Christmas and enjoy the sun :)

Thanks Planethockey for a great read. Learning different coaching approaches help us grow. We can always learn something new no matter our age and I have got some good pointers out of this.

Coaches and hockey lovers were in for a treat when they logged onto the Hockey Today Coaching Clinic for the inaugural online series of hockey seminars. The keynote speech was delivered by one of the greatest hockey coaches of all time, former Australia head coach Ric Charlesworth.

It has been a long year and very busy for so many of us. I am terrible at taking a break and slowing down. But this year I have realised how important this is for my mental and physical health so this is my work in progress. Have a good monday :)
