Hi all,
Thank you all for signing up to the tournament. I hope you all are excited for the tournament. 1 more day to go for the big day. Total 26 teams has registered in the tournament, it’s going to be huge one. Anyone who haven’t done the payment yet, please do it as soon as you can. Below are the details of the tournament.
Tournament format:
First round will be divided into 6 groups. Based on the points scored in this round, teams will be dividing onto 3 Divisions. Based on the total scores in the division, top 2 teams will be going to Finals. If time permits, then I will try to keep Semis and then Finals else it will be Finals only. All games are 21 points as per BWF scoring system. Each team will be playing atleast 10-12 games so please be prepared for that. We are expecting around 160games in total so time is key in this tournament.
If the team is not on court when called in then it will be defaulted and the next game starts. Tournament briefing starts at 9am and the first game to start from 9:15am, don’t be late.

Sports64 Badminton Club:
This tournament is organised by the Sports64 badminton club. They organises these tournaments every year to encourage the talent and showcase players skills. This club is open to all level players to play and have fun every Saturday 6-8am.
This club have a BWF Level 1 Registered Coach. He coaches to all age groups at Lynfield YMCA and Waitakere Badminton Center. If anyone interested about Coaching their kids, then please contact Girish .
This club also have a Certified Zumba Instructor and an experienced Choreographer. She teaches Zumba to all age groups who are interested and also anyone who is keen to learn dance. Please contact below details for further details.

I have got the Venue upstairs Dining/rest area for the players and supporters, please use that space only to eat food/snack. If anyone takes food downstairs they will be fined by the organisers as we are responsible for the cleanliness around the courts and venue.
