Well, it's been a great season. Many great fish to the net, good times with good friends, and a few odd ball species taken... today I put in a good effort fishing both the headwaters and the confluence of a favorite local. I pulled an old war horse from the headwaters which rounded out the seasons Browns well, and even managed a local Rainbow which is the first I've landed in 3 seasons in my area... the South Island has been a lot of fun but I think it's time to head home and hit the North again for a while. Until next time South Island 😄

Good making the most of the last few days of season, I found a lot of good fish in spawning colors and a few larger Jack's scrapping in the system. I didn't manage to pin one of the bigger models but plenty to the net regardless. Fish will soon be sweeping off the odd patch of gravel for redds to spawn on... tight lines all and enjoy end of season...
