Water Safety Warriors making waves!

On Saturday, our team and swimmers proudly joined the Australian Swim Schools Association Water Safety Warriors Wave for World Drowning Prevention Day.

It was wonderful to see everyone come together to raise awareness of drowning prevention and the importance of building strong swimming and water safety skills.

Every swimmer, every lesson and every water safety conversation helps create safer communities.

🌊 River Safety Checks 🌊

Last week in lessons, our swimmers focused on what to check before swimming at a river.

We talked about spotting hazards, making safe decisions, and remembering that rivers can change quickly — even when they look calm.

Before heading near a river, remind your swimmer to check:

✔ Take an adult
✔ Check the weather
✔ Take the right gear
✔ Check if it is safe to swim

A great question to ask at home:
“What hazards might you see at a river?”

Building this awareness early helps our swimmers understand that water safety starts before they enter the water. 💙
