Heya waiheke!!
85s rugby is back on the rock again this year after a year sabbatical.

First rugby training for the u85 pirates will be next tuesday, 24th feb at 6pm at the onetangi sports park.

Wether you have played before or not Come down for a run around keep the fitness up and have a bit of fun 🤙 all skill levels welcome

GAME DAY TODAY

1pm, Onetangi sports park.

Your Pirates x Rams to take on the undefeated Black Panthers.

With the Speights shield on the line, the Pirates’ coach, the Crazy Kiwi, and the captain of the injury ward, Nice McKelvie,have promised half a pallet of Speights each should the boys walk away with the bikkies.

Should be a doozy.

Ah ha! A rare picture of Struan passing the ball.

The Pirates host the Squids this weekend, 1pm at OSP. As several Pirates are former Squids themselves, the substitutions may get a bit blurry for referee James Bailey (named at reserve ho**er).

Clubrooms open for both the Pirates and the Castaways (playing 3.15pm) before buses take us down to Charlie’s at 8pm.

The only thing consistent about this lineup is the front row and they are JACKED.

After kicking nothing but air while looking for touch, James McKelvie earns the 10 jersey. Meanwhile Nat Upchurch puts his hand up to cover pretty much everything.

The three French guys come back from holiday, possibly with a mate, while Tydgh O’Brien and Ben Kara thank the big G for their spare thumb & ACL respectively.

James Bailey (referee) unfortunately left off the bench this week, as this small band of brothers sail to the mainland to send shock waves through the grade once again.

Your Pirates host the University Legends this Saturday at 1pm, Onetangi Sports Park, as we look to secure a spot at top of the table.

There will be a moment of silence before the game in memory of our brother from the #12
