The main reason to even be concerned over the compulsory student services fees collected by Unitec is that this account is not audited.

This was confirmed in my search for information on history of USC and the student life at Unitec.

Unitec Ltd is a crown entity and is subject to Official Information Act. I requested a detailed breakdown on how money was spent on student services fees and they sprang up a cost of $38 per half hour spent on gathering the information.

Just for the sake of clarity, the Unitec Student Council ha nothing to do with this quest. Members of Unitec Student Council are not party to this or even associated with this request.

I feel that I need to bring this information to the student body and let them decide if they have been given the value to the money collected from them.

So please direct all questions to me and not to Unitec Student council.
