Peter Lynn Kites has been making and selling kites since 1973
Our product range includes small kids kites through to our most widely
known products our large inflatable show kites the most common one
being the 25 meter long maxi octopus. We have Peter Lynn and Simon Chisnall designing our show kites in New
Zealand, but we also produce the kites for other designers from around
the world Jan O’Lough

Fischbacher from Germany, Claudio Capelli from Italy. We are also the manufactures of the worlds largest kites The old
Guinness record for the mega ray and Mega Bite watch has 635 square
meters of lifting area, made in 1997. The Guinness record for the Kuwait flag kite, 1000 square meters of
lifting area built in 2005, and the new unconfirmed world record Ray
with 1250 square meters of lifting area. We don’t only make and sell Show Kites we also travel the world
putting on displays.

We made the Luminaria Festival mascot (Zmo) into a kite!
We had so much fun bringing this mascot to life. Creating a maxi version over 7 meters wide and 25 meters long, and a smaller version 3 meters x 10 meters.
Both fly well without a pilot kite. Not only that, they fly great!!
They where a massive hit. The smaller one was the perfect size thst it could be passed to the public, so that they could have the chance to fly a Show Kite.

Manta Ray - Designed by Andreas Fischbacher in 2014. Andreas spent many hours working on this design to make it one of the best flying show kites in the world.
This one in the video is a new size in-between the midi and full size maxi. It is 8.9 meters wide and 22 meters long.
This one is also made in our ultra light 20d material, so can fly in very light wind. We will be flying it at the Luminaria Festival this coming weekend.
