Notes on back of file print read: "The home of Antonio Williams, the 'black' doctor. Had settled in Invercargill by 1859. 'Antonio's wigwam', one of the earliest shelters built in Invercargill. Supported by leaning tree. Squatted near Dee St and was evicted." Photograph taken circa 1859. Photographer unidentified.
