Para Athlete Mac Denniston From a talented sportsman, then a brain injury in 2020, Mac gave Para Athletics a go as a Seated Thrower.

Now he’s tackling ‘life’ and aiming to live independently.

Mac did it … SILVER 🥈!! in Senior Seated Discuss representing New Zealand Secondary Schools Athletics Association in the blavk singlet. He threw 19m and the winner threw 24m .

No Mac has not taken up surfing or snowboarding🤣 …. this is the handle to his throwing seat neatly packed in with his clothes. On our way to Perth for the Australian Athletics Nationals and don’t need his gear damaged before we get there.

Thursday 10th @ 2pm NZ time (10am WA time) - Senior seated Shotput

Friday 11th @ 1.15pm NZ time (9.15am WA time) - U20 Javelin

Saturday 12th @ 3.30pm NZ time (11.30am WA time) - Senior Seated discuss.
