Australian Bowls Open.
Great work from Bob McAuley yesterday, winning with partner John Gray the first 2 games in the knockout pairs over 60s draw before being eliminated in the round of 32.
Kath Mann & Andrea Dowman won their first game in the knockout but now eliminated.

Great finals coming up live on You Tube from 11am and Sky Sport channels 5 &4 from 1.30 to 6.30pm today (Thursday) and Friday.

Australian Bowls Open Update:
An exciting morning with Kelvin Jackson and Allan Brash winning 21-8 in the ground of 16 before being eliminated in the quarter finals.
Meanwhile the over 60 womens pairs had some qualifiers.
Linley Carter & Barbara L Wilson as well as Kath Mann and Andrea Dowman both qualified for the main draw today.
I think Bob McAuley qualified in the over 60s on Monday with partner John Gray. Bob is registered with a Queensland Club however I assume he is Bannockburn so I missed it.

Mens open pairs today in the Australian Open.. Geoff Short was eliminated in the knockout draw this morning. Good effort getting that far. Kelvin Jackson & Allan Brash ate through to round 16. They play again tomorrow morning. (Tuesday) Good luck.

The team was second in section but promoted into main draw due to close margin.

Great work from Debbie Jackson (Arrowtown / Omakau) and Maria Wallis (Clyde) both won their sections with 3 wins today..

Queenstown did well yesterday in the Australian Open Mixed Pairs with 2 qualifiers..
Murray and Linley Carter winning all 3 games in their section. Geoff Short and Margaret OConnor with 2 wins and enough to qualify top in their section as well.
They both advance to the huge knockout draw this evening.
Mean while the mens singles sectionals commence today. today.
