A great game today, it started pretty wet but dried up. Te Rarawa won the toss and chose to bat first. Great opening partnership by Drake and Isaiah. Gabe top scored with 19 and Isaiah got 14. Gabe also got 2 wickets for 7 runs off 3 overs and Isaiah got exactly the same off his three. Gabe got an amazing caught and bowled running back and grabbing it out of the air with one hand. Cooper Walters did outstanding keeping all game, barely letting anything past him. Dhanil in just his 2nd game anchored our innings with Gabe and him being the only two to retire not out. Excellent team effort all round with good energy in the field. *We also had a star from the other club play for us as we only had 7. George was probably what swung the game in our favour 🏏😊. Kamo next week, we are playing in Kerikeri.

Great Cricket played on Saturday. Amazing first five overs from Te Rarawa with not a single wide. Jai finished with conceding just four runs off his 3 overs bowling (18 balls). The most economic spell of the entire season. Drake got 8/1 off his two overs. An amazing bowling performance all round. We restricted Kerikeri to a modest total. But unfortunately, our catches weren't sticking like the week before as it could have been much lower. Lukas top scored again with Straus one run behind hitting his 2nd six this season. The team were on track at the halfway mark but ran out of wickets in our chase. Kerikeri are the only undefeated team this season, and you can see this is much deserved, their bowling was very accurate always threatening the stumps with brilliant bowling and batting across the team. A fantastic learning experience and we have shown we have really improved from our game earlier in the season. Keep it up Te Rarawa!

That's now five wins in a row. Some amazing fielding with so many highlights: an amazing diving catch from Lukas. A 20m direct hit run-out from Jai. Not a single catch dropped. Even a 3 wicket bag for Jai. Amazing opening partnership by Drake and Straus. Lukas top scoring with Isaiah with the bat. Cooper had an outstanding first game with bat and ball. We played extremely well from top to bottom. This weekend we play the best team U14 Kerikeri at home (Ahipara). Should be a fun watch. Please come and support us 😎🏏

Wow, yet another outstanding performance. This team has now won three games in a row. Drake claimed two wickets! Jai got a wicket along with Dylan and Oliver. Isaiah got two catches in the field, one being a spectacular diving catch. Gabe top scored with 30 runs from 20 balls, smashing two 6's and four 4's. A shout out to Straus for hitting your first six. How good it was to have you and Cooper back ❤️. There were numerous powerful contributions attaining an impressive total for a T20 game. The game was played in great spirit with players responding well to Coach Cam's instructions. What a spectacle to watch. Way to go Te Rarawa! 💪🏼⬛⬜🟥
