On 12 September I'm dragging a 70kg log 42km across the Isle of Man for JUNGLEKEEPERS. 3 weeks to go. And so far we have raised £720 meaning we have funded 12 days of ranger patrols.

Swipe to see exactly what your donation does on the ground in the Amazon 👉

Every penny goes directly to Junglekeepers. I'm not affiliated with them — Every penny spent has been my own. 84p of every pound they receive goes straight to rangers in the field.

🌿 £20 — feeds a ranger for a full day on patrol
🌿 £65 — funds a ranger for a full day, everything covered
🌿 £450 — one ranger, one full week in the field on the Las Piedras
🌿 £2,000 — one full-time ranger for an entire month
🌿 £10,000 — My goal. 5 months of a ranger patrols

The Las Piedras is one of the last mercury-free, mining-free rivers left in the Amazon. Junglekeepers have protected over 160,000 acres. Illegal incursions in their patrolled areas — zero.

On 12 September I’ll be dragging this 70kg tree trunk — my own bodyweight — marathon distance across the Isle of Man. Solo. Through the night.

That includes carrying the log over my shoulders for 1.25km through Douglas High Street, along North Quay, to the Old Castletown Road. At km 27. After ten hours of dragging.

I’m doing this to raise £10,000 for JUNGLEKEEPERS — an Indigenous-led organisation protecting the Las Piedras river in the Peruvian Amazon, one of the last mercury-free, mining-free rivers left in the entire basin.

I have no affiliation with Junglekeepers — 100% of donations go directly to them, of which 84% goes straight to rangers on the ground.

Here’s what your donation does:
🌳 £65 funds a ranger for a full day on patrol
🌳 £2,000 funds a ranger for an entire month
🌳 £10,000 — my target — keeps a ranger patrolling by solar-electric boat on the Las Piedras for 5 months

Hanging L-sits are a staple in my training — especially when I’m travelling.

All I need is a bar, a tree, a beam… and I’ve got:
• Grip strength work
• Anterior core strength (that shows)
• Shoulder opening
• Upper body + spinal mobility

It’s strength and structure at the same time.

Instead of chasing max hold times, I use time accumulation.

I’ll set a target — say 2–3 minutes total hang time.

That might look like:
20 seconds x 6–9 sets
Or whatever it takes to reach the total.

The key?
I’m not pushing to failure.
I’m not shaking through ugly reps.
I’m building quality volume.

Submaximal. Controlled. Repeatable.

That’s how you build strength that actually carries over — without frying your nervous system.

Simple tools. Long-term returns.

Don’t chase 100% every session—smart effort leads to better results, faster recovery, and fewer injuries.

Training at 90–95% keeps you fresh, strong, and reduces the risk of setbacks that stall progress. Pavel Tsatsouline @
, author of “Kettlebell Simple & Sinister,” shows that sustainable gains come from consistency and smart training—not exhaustion.

Thank you for all your hard work, such enthusiasm and literally sharing the word about my classes to everyone you met, absolute star ⭐

Sammy committed to every handstand and mobility workshop she could, and the results speak for themselves. From struggling to hold a handstand to balancing for 6 to 10 seconds multiple times and much more confidence in a handstand, her progress has been incredible. 🙌

Even after the classes, she’s still rocking that handstand bug! 💪

✨If you’re ready to level up your handstand game and boost your mobility, send BALANCE!

Let’s get you balancing like a pro. 🤸‍♀️👉 DM to learn more!

Opening shoulders before handstands — exactly how we did it in my class in Pai with 20+ people following along.

Start in your setup:
• Hands on the floor or an elevated surface
• Hips pulled back above the knees
• Let the shoulders fall toward the floor
Then follow the drill in the video.

If you want stronger, cleaner handstands (or you just need better overhead mobility), join my 28 day handstand challenge or jump into my online training to reach your goals yesterday...

Your tendons are more powerful than you think. They get less blood flow than muscle and adapt slower — but with the right training, they become stronger, stiffer, and far more injury-resistant.

Why it works:
• High-strain loading (heavy isometrics or loaded stretch positions) increases tendon stiffness + structure.
Examples: Calf raises with long pauses, Nordic curls, Spanish squats, loaded Jefferson curls, weighted pike stretch, long-duration isometric split squat hold.
Research: PMC9768072.

• Low-load, high-rep movement improves circulation + matrix turnover to keep tendons healthy between sessions.
Examples: Skipping, light pogo jumps, tib raises, banded foot/ankle work, wrist warm-ups, shoulder IR/ER band reps.
Research: PubMed 31725362.

If you want a program that builds resilient tendons, not just bigger muscles, my online coaching gives you structured loading and recovery tailored to your tissue capacity. DM me or hit the link in my bio and I’ll build you a plan that keeps you strong and durable.
