Sector 2 had the honour of welcoming Major General James Martin DSO OBE MC, General Officer Commanding 3 (UK) Division, for a short visit to Op TOSCA. The General received updates on the progress of the operation and witnessed a demonstration of the MFR's public order capability. He also visited parts of the Buffer Zone and spoke with peacekeeping troops.

Commendation - Colonel Commandant Adjutant General’s Corps

Sgt Manoj Thapa has been selected for the Colonel Commandant Adjutant General’s Corps Commendation by Lieutenant General Ivan Jones CB in recognition of his selfless commitment and outstanding service to Gurkha ARRC Support Battalion (GARRC Sp Bn), Corps and the wider Defence.

A two week Unit Induction programme was planned and delivered by the Regimental Training Wing to the 57 newly arrived Privates from Intake 2022. It included briefs from the key Regimental personalities, a visit to the Gurkha museum at Wi******er, and an introductory PT session. It finished with the new intake soldiers receiving their trades, and their places within one of the Regiment's Squadrons.

Intake 22 will be attested into the QOGLR during the Regimental Birthday Parade in 2023.

Syabash all bhaiharu and good luck for your phase 2 courses.

GSPS Cambrian Patrol Team were awarded with GSPS Coin for achieving Gold Medal in Cambrian Patrol 22. Additionally, Sgt Nischal Rai and Cpl Jiban Tamang were awarded GSPS Coin for their outstanding contributions to 22 Signal Regiment and 3rd (United Kingdom) Division Signal Regiment.
