Sahir Shrestha of IKOK Wins First Place in the First Kyokushin Ryu National Championship 2025

Lalitpur / 6Th April : Sahir Shrestha from IKOK Kyokushinkai Karate Dojo, Nakhkhipot, secured first place in the open weight category at the First Kyokushin Ryu National Championship 2025. The competition was organized by the International Karate Alliance Kyokushin Ryu and took place on Saturday in Nakhkhipot, Lalitpur. Dinesh Bamjan, also from the same dojo, secured second place in the same category.

Similarly, Pasang Ghalan placed third, and Prashat Sunuwar finished in the consolation round. In the women's 30–35 kg weight category, Anjali Rai of IKOK won second place while Riyansa B.K. secured third.

In the 35–40 kg women's category, Ambika Ghimire clinched first place, and Susmita B.K. earned a consolation position. In the 40–45 kg category, Anju Shrestha stood out, while in the 45–50 kg category, Jenisha B.K. finished second. In the women’s open weight category, Elisa B.K. achieved third place, and Tayama Bantawa Rai came in fourth.

In the men's 25–30 kg weight category, Rohis B.K. came third, while in the 30–35 kg group, Jesis Rai took first place and Sarwan Shrestha came second. In the 35–40 kg category, Krishna Chaudhary, and in the 40–45 kg group, Karan Shahi both secured first positions, whereas Ramraja Lopchan had to settle for second.

In the 45–50 kg men's weight category, Sonam Moktan came first, and Resang Sunuwar second. In the kata competition, Lisan Magar earned third place.

According to trainer Sensei Samir Shrestha, 29 players from IKOK Karate Dojo participated in the event. Rituvartan Rai, President of the International Karate Alliance Kyokushin Ryu, informed that a total of 92 athletes from five organizations competed in the championship. Deepak Lama, President of IKOK Kyokushinkai Karate Dojo, stated that the players who have been rigorously training at the dojo performed excellently in the competition.
