Trishuli River: This is Nepal's most popular rafting river due to its easy accessibility from Kathmandu and Pokhara. It offers a mix of Class II and III rapids, with some sections reaching Class IV, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced rafters.
Seti River: Known for its warm water and beautiful scenery, the Seti offers a more relaxed rafting experience, perfect for families or those who want a gentle float. Rapids on this river are typically Class II and III.
Bhotekoshi River: Originating in Tibet, this river is famous for its steep and continuous rapids (Class IV-V), providing an adrenaline-packed experience for thrill-seekers.
Multi-Day Expeditions
For an immersive wilderness adventure, the company organizes extended journeys on some of Nepal's most challenging and beautiful rivers. These trips often combine exciting rapids with camping on sandy beaches and exploring remote landscapes. Multi-day trips are offered on:
Sun Koshi River: Known as the "River of Gold," this is Nepal's longest rafting trip. It features a mix of rapids from Class III to V and is considered a multi-day masterpiece.
Tamur River: Located in eastern Nepal, this river is a haven for experienced rafters with its challenging Class IV-V rapids.
Karnali River: Flowing through Nepal's western region, the Karnali offers formidable rapids and breathtaking scenery, with sections featuring Class III to V rapids.
Marshyangdi River: Referred to as the "Raging River," it is considered one of the best white-water runs in the world, with Class V rapids.
Bheri River: This river is ideal for those who want to combine rafting with a wildlife expedition, as it flows near Bardia National Park.
Best Time for Rafting
The most favorable seasons for rafting in Nepal are spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). During these periods, the weather is pleasant, and the water levels are moderate, offering a balance of challenging and stable rapids. The rivers are typically well-fed from the melting winter snow in the spring and from the recent monsoon rains in the autumn. The monsoon season (June to August) is generally not recommended for rafting due to high water levels and unpredictable conditions.
