Cristiano and happy endings. Somehow, those two lines were never meant to meet.
He walked away from Real Madrid without the goodbye we all wanted. After everything he had given to that shirt, after all the nights he turned the impossible into unforgettable memories, after becoming part of the club’s greatest era, his story ended with a walk down the tunnel instead of a proper farewell.
No final goodbye at the Bernabéu. Just Ronaldo walking away, leaving behind memories that would never walk away from us.
Then came Manchester United.
He returned to the place where his legend first became real, carrying the same dream and the same number on his back. But once again, the story became complicated. Problems with the management, disagreements with the manager, and a relationship that eventually broke down.
And just like that, he walked away again, without the ending so many had imagined for him.
And now, Portugal.
The shirt that means more than any club. The country he represented for generations. The badge he fought for through victories, defeats, heartbreaks, and unforgettable nights.
Yet once again, uncertainty surrounds his journey, leaving fans wondering how this chapter will ultimately end.
Another chapter. Another tunnel. Another walk away from something he gave so much to.
Three different places. Three different stories. Yet somehow, the same feeling.
Ronaldo keeps walking away while we keep standing there, wishing the story had ended differently.
Maybe that is the cruelest part of loving Cristiano. We have watched him create countless perfect moments, but we have rarely received the perfect goodbye.
Cristiano and happy endings. The two lines that never seem to meet.
But no matter how his chapters end, he never leaves empty-handed.
He leaves behind eras, memories, trophies, records, tears, celebrations, and millions of people who will never forget what they witnessed.
Because legends don’t always get the farewells they deserve.
Sometimes, they simply turn around, walk away, and leave the world looking back at everything they gave.
And perhaps, years from now, we won’t remember how each chapter ended.
We’ll remember that we were lucky enough to witness the story in the first place. 🐐🤍
