Democracy and Freedom ain’t all about having words inscribed in the constitution guaranteeing so.
It’s about people being able to live with dignity and having the right to dream and choose their future. What we are seeing today in Catalonia, it's in no form a democracy. It is a full fledged all right fascist act by the fascist government of Spain. This is no democracy; this is police brutality and Spain's central government trying to establish its supremacy.
The legitimacy and the result of the vote can be debated and can be resorted through discussions in the table. But, the few snaps and footages from Catalonia that I’ve seen today have left me heartless. This is unreal and must be stopped immediately.
Why the hell do the Spanish government need to establish such high police brutality when the opinion polls are in favor of Stay? The Catalans just have one wish and that is to choose their own future.
So, where the hell is the UN, EU and all other Justice and HR commissions today? Guess, money speaks.
I’ve no interest in what the Catalans would decide by the vote but the cruelty and viciousness displayed by the Spanish government today is insane and inhumane.
Make this trending, the right to vote is innate and must be given to everyone.
Stay strong Catalonia. They may try to beat you, take away the ballots, try to stop you from voting but there's one thing they can't take from you. your spirit. Stay strong.
