RESPECT EARNED. 💚⚽

Our second group-stage match of the Sainik Cup was against Nepal Police School, last year's champions and one of the strongest teams in the competition.

Despite having one of the youngest squads in the tournament, GFA NEPAL entered the match with a clear tactical plan — compact defensive organization, low and mid-blocks, controlled spaces and collective discipline.

The boys executed the plan with tremendous commitment.

HALF-TIME: 0–0

Our goalkeeper produced an excellent performance, while the entire team worked together to frustrate a much more experienced and physically stronger opponent.

We eventually conceded two goals in the final 15 minutes.

FULL-TIME: GFA NEPAL Team Greenwich 0–2 Nepal Police School

The result wasn't what we wanted, but the performance represented a significant step forward.

A young team that many expected to concede heavily instead competed with discipline, courage and tactical maturity against the defending champions.

The appreciation received after the match says a lot about the performance.

Three points were not ours.
But belief, experience and respect were earned.

This is youth football.
This is development.

The youngest team. A Young Captain. A Big Responsibility. 💚⚽

Our first league game at the Sainik Cup was another important chapter in the development journey of GFA Nepal.

Once again, we are the youngest team in the competition, but our young players continue to embrace responsibility and compete with courage.

Rojit Pradhan — U-12 Captain, Jersey No. 19 — led from the very beginning.

He led the warm-up, took responsibility at the midfield and attacking lines, and then started the match in midfield.

Since Wednesday morning, Rojit’s father has been unreachable amid the ongoing flood situation in Rasuwa. Before the match, our coach told him that he did not need to play.

Rojit simply replied:

“Coach, I want to play.”

He stepped onto the pitch, played the entire match against older and stronger opposition and showed tremendous courage, technical quality, composure and confidence on the ball.

His performance was noticed by many around the ground.

Our match captain and goalkeeper also led from the back, producing several magnificent saves and giving everything for the team until the final whistle. 🧤

These are the experiences that shape young footballers — not only as players, but as people.

Young team. Big responsibility. Bigger lessons.

A special day for our GFA Nepal players as we brought together our U-12, U-14 and U-16 boys and girls for a valuable Tri-series friendly experience at the ANFA Complex.

More than just matches, today was about giving young players the opportunity to compete, learn, experience a different environment and build friendships through football.

A heartfelt thank you to Bhuikhel Football Club and Sagarmatha Football Academy for joining us and making this experience meaningful for all the players. 🤝⚽

Morning preparation for the 22nd Sainik Cup. 🟢⚽

Our U-15 boys began the day with a structured movement and fitness session focused on dynamic mobility, curved running patterns and agility through markers.

The objective is simple improve movement quality, agility, coordination and physical readiness as we continue preparing for the challenge ahead.

After our experience as the youngest team in last year's 21st edition, we return this year with greater experience and renewed ambition.

Another productive session for our GFA Nepal U-15 boys as we continue building towards the 22nd Sainik Cup.

From movement and decision-making to competition and intensity, every session is an opportunity to become better prepared for the challenge ahead.

Our journey started last year as the youngest team in the 21st edition, where we were also recognised as the Fair Play Team. This year, we return with more experience, more belief and the same commitment to our development.
