Nico Paz has definitely made a strong case for himself this season, especially with that April run.
Nico Paz showing that level at Como — scoring, creating, and even impacting games against top sides like Inter — is exactly what builds hype around a “best young player” label.
But calling him the best young player in Serie A right now is still a bit early. The league has several young standouts across different roles, and consistency over the full season matters more than a hot month. What Nico has done is more like:
✔️ Proving elite potential
✔️ Showing he can decide big matches
✔️ Becoming a key creative force at Como
In short: he’s in the conversation, not fully “locked in” yet.
If he keeps this level for a full season (or even improves in tougher games), then yes — he could very realistically finish as one of the top young players in Serie A.
Right now, it’s more accurate to say: “one of the most exciting young breakthroughs this season” rather than undisputed best.
