IOGKF Nepal A completely traditional Okinawan Goju-ryu karate

The International Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate-do Federation (IOGKF) is the largest traditional Okinawan Karate organization in the world. Under the leadership of World Chief Instructor, Sensei Tetsuji Nakamura and his International Executive committee, IOGKF International is committed to preserving the intangible cultural treasure of Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate-Do, which has been passed down to us in it

s original form from one generation to the next. IOGKF founder and legendary Goju-ryu supreme Master, Sensei Morio Higaonna still advises the Federation to this day and provides a direct lineage to the styles founder. Since its establishment in 1979, the IOGKF has attracted culturally diverse martial arts practitioners from around the world, who have joined the organization after recognizing the authenticity and excellence of the IOGKF and its undeniable connect to the origins of the style. Our members actively support our mission, objectives, and activities and IOGKF holds countless seminars, training camps and major International events every year. With over 75,000 members in over 55 different nations, IOGKF welcomes all potential members to join our International Karate family.

Today two different people asked me, which organization this dojo belongs to.

I am very happy to answer:

IOGKF, an organization with many wonderful and inspiring instructors who influenced and improved the dojo and my personal life in so many awesome ways and will hopefully continue to do so. These instructors learned from - and trained with Higaonna Sensei over decades and accumulated knowledge and wisdom on Okinawa and on their own, no one can gain in a short time. The knowledge and individual experience from all of them combined is a treasure, we can’t even estimate. 🙇🥋

I am very thankful for this organization we have and the amazing Senseis who sacrifice their lifes for our benefit.

Right now I feel it’s time for a huge THANK YOU.
