हालै श्रीलंकाको कोलम्बोमा सम्पन्न विश्व पावरलिफ्टिङ च्याम्पियनसिपमा उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन गर्दै पदक विजेता बनेका नेपाली खेलाडीहरूलाई राष्ट्रिय खेलकुद परिषद्का सदस्य–सचिव रामचरित्र मेहताले एक समारोहका बीच नगदसहित सम्मान गर्नुभएको छ।

मंसिर १२ देखि १४ गतेसम्म भएको प्रतियोगितामा नेपाली टिमले २६ स्वर्ण, १० रजत र ५ कास्य पदक जित्दै टिम च्याम्पियन बन्ने ऐतिहासिक उपलब्धि हासिल गरेको थियो।

सम्मान कार्यक्रम संघका अध्यक्ष सुन्दर भुषालको अध्यक्षतामा सम्पन्न भएको थियो।

Nepal has delivered a truly historic performance at the World Powerlifting Championship 2025 held in Sri Lanka, stunning the global stage with an extraordinary haul of 41 medals — 26 Gold, 10 Silver, and 5 Bronze.

From the opening day itself, Nepali athletes showcased exceptional strength, securing podium finishes through record-breaking lifts and consistent dominance in multiple categories.

Standout athletes Dr. Jitendra Kumar Sah, Laxmi Maharjan, Shukdev Karki, and Bhesh Kumari Aslami led Nepal’s remarkable medal sweep. Additionally, Shukdev Karki and Sharmila Shah earned the prestigious Best Lifter Awards in the men’s and women’s categories, further uplifting Nepal’s global powerlifting reputation.

Their extraordinary determination, power, and world-class performances have elevated national pride, marking this as one of the greatest achievements in the history of Nepali powerlifting.

श्रीलंकाको कोलम्बोमा नोभेम्बर २८–३० सम्म सम्पन्न विश्व पावरलिफ्टिङ च्याम्पियनसिपमा नेपालले ऐतिहासिक विजय हासिल गर्दै २६ स्वर्ण, १० रजत र ५ कास्य सहित कुल ४१ पदक जित्दै सहभागी १२ राष्ट्रमध्ये सबैभन्दा सफल टिम बन्न सफल भयो। 🇳🇵💪

उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन गर्दै विश्वका २ सयभन्दा बढी खेलाडीहरूलाई पछि पार्दै नेपालले पावरलिफ्टिङमा आफ्नो दबदबा स्थापित गर्‍यो।
