Thanks to the racers, staff and all the volunteers who made the last Tromsø Arctic Skimo WC three fantastic days of competition. This despite some challenging weather. Our vision has been to show the world the beauty of our sport. The passion and rivalry in the individual on live TV in a mountain environment. We gave it all and we did it! Everything wasn’t perfect, but the spectators, volunteers, TV viewers and athletes still got to experience the beauty of our sport♥️
Our passion lives on, but this was probably the last time with the ISMF World Cup in Tromsø. We can’t fight any longer with the current financial and structural conditions for WC competitions! As much as we love the sport and the community, it is not a sustainable model for the LOC as it is now. As it stands, too much of the financial responsibility and risk rests with LOC without financial support from ISMF. We cannot continue with such conditions. Sorry to all of you who support and enjoy Tromsø Arctic Skimo
