Whitewater rafting and kayaking on the Austervefsna in Nordland! The company is owned and operated by Mariann Saether and Ron Fischer.

RiverNorth is an outdoor adventure company based in the nature surrounded town of Trofors in Nordland, Northern Norway. The main focus is activities in and around the river, and this year we offer rafting and kayaking on the river Austervefsna. Both have been making a living from kayking and rafting for nearly 20 years. Together they have expansive experience in river safety, rafting, guiding and

in running expeditions worldwide. They fell in love with the rivers around Trofors during their many kayaking trips over the past years, and are now dedicated to giving you the best experience possible on the river. For anybody driving the E6 to or from the North Cape, this is the perfect break from driving. Or perhaps you are a local and want to see the river from a new perspective? Together with Visit Helgeland , we welcomed tour operators from abroad for a taste of what inland Helgeland has to offer — and Auster-Vefsna certainly delivered.

Deep canyons, sculpted rock, wild forest and some seriously good whitewater. This is a river landscape that feels raw, remote and completely its own.

What makes this place special isn’t only the scenery. It’s the quality of the whitewater with long stretches of beautiful, technical and playful rapids running through spectacular canyons make this a rafting destination that can stand alongside some of the best adventure destinations in Europe — while offering something very different.

And judging by those smiles… we think our guests got the idea. 😄🌊

A huge thank you to Visit Helgeland for bringing people out to experience what lies beyond the coast. We’re incredibly proud to show the world what we have right here in the interior of Helgeland. 💙

🌊 Three more weeks of rafting! 🌊

Summer isn’t over quite yet. ☀️ We’ve got some beautiful summer days coming next week, amazing water levels, and three more weeks to get out on the river before we close for the season in mid-September.

So if you’ve been thinking about going rafting this summer — now is the time! 💦

And if you’re looking for a company trip that’s a little more memorable than sitting around a meeting table… bring the team to the river! 😄 We’ve already got company groups joining us next week, and we still have room for more!
