Hello everyone,

Operating within salmon fishing tourism is no simple endeavor when predictability is entirely lacking. Nygard Lodge recorded the exact same number of fish on the 18th of July 2025 as on the 18th of July 2026. In 2025, the final tally exceeded 90 salmon, with an average weight of over 5 kg; whether 2026 would have yielded the same result, we shall never know.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our wonderful guests—both those who had the opportunity to fish in the beautiful river Surna and to taste Chef Stian Kooyman's universe and those who received a refund—and we warmly welcome you back to Nygard Lodge for the 2027 season.

Nygard Lodge and Chef Stian Kooyman present one of the pinnacle of Norwegian salmon fishing and culinary excellence. While the 2026 season’s run remains a mystery of nature, one truth is absolute: no salmon was ever landed from behind a computer. Wishing a magnificent 2026 season to all our anglers!

The HardyMobile (to the left…) got a visit by a modern friend today. The HardyMobile is used to drive our honorable fishermen to the river and back.

The HardyMobile celebrating 50 year’s anniversary this year. I wonder if the modern friend is in the same shape in 2075 as our HardyMobile. However, both are cool cars in my opinion.
