Martinius Melleby Hopstock - Arendals Seilforening vinner 7.5-klassen i WASZP Pre-Games 💥 På siste dag klinker han til med tre strake seire og avgjør på imponerende vis!

Dette lover svært godt før WASZP Games 2026 – klassens uoffisielle verdensmesterskap, som starter 24. mars.

The WASZP EuroCup 2026 calendar is here! 🇪🇺⛵

The season kicks off on the Atlantic coast of France 🇫🇷 in Lanvéoc (14–16 May) and takes us on an exciting foiling journey across Europe — from Germany 🇩🇪 and Italy 🇮🇹 to Sweden 🇸🇪 and the Mediterranean.

With iconic venues like Flensburg 🇩🇪, Malcesine 🇮🇹, Campione 🇮🇹, Imperia 🇮🇹 and Bandol 🇫🇷, EuroCup 2026 promises top-level racing, great fleets and unforgettable sailing.

The season will wrap up with a final event in Spain 🇪🇸 in December (venue to be announced), and 4 events will count towards the overall EuroCup standings.

WASZP Norway 🇳🇴 is looking forward to another strong Scandinavian presence on the EuroCup circuit — who’s joining the adventure in 2026? 💪🔥

Pernille Eftang - Sandefjord Seilforening and Martinius Hopstock - Arendals Seilforening have been selected to represent Norway at the Foil Academy International Trophy in Cagliari, Sardinia, October 13–16.

This prestigious event, powered by Luna Rossa and the Italian Sailing Federation, gathers many of the world’s best young foiling sailors to compete in high-level team racing. 🌊⚡️

🌊🇪🇸 WASZP Europeans 2026 – Mar Menor, Spain! 🇪🇸🌊

From 11–18 July 2026, the WASZP class returns to the foiling paradise of Mar Menor for the European Championship! ☀️⛵️

Over 200 boats from around the world are expected, with everything from sprints and distance racing to classic courses. Top sailors, new talents, and the Green Fleet – this is an event for all ages and abilities.

Green Fleet Option in Oslo Next Weekend 🇳🇴 – A Unique Opportunity for New WASZP Sailors 🇸🇪🇩🇰🇩🇪

Are you new to the WASZP or still building confidence on the foil?
At next weekend’s WASZP Nationals & Nordic Championship in Oslo (August 8–10), we’re offering a Green Fleet option – the perfect way to take part in the event without the pressure of full-on racing.

The Green Fleet will be supported by Jacob Wærsten, a highly experienced WASZP sailor from Kongelig Norsk Seilforening, who will provide coaching, advice, and on-water support throughout the weekend.

There’s no requirement to join the races, but if you feel ready and want to try, you’re more than welcome to participate. The focus is on learning, improving, and becoming part of the WASZP community – at your own pace. 🛶

This is a great chance to get involved, meet sailors from across the Nordic fleet, and enjoy a top-level event in Oslo. 🌍

Next weekend's Combined Open Norwegian Nationals & Nordic Championship in Oslo (August 8–10) is not just another regatta—it’s the first of two qualifiers for the SailGP WASZP Grand Final in Sydney 2026! 🏁🔥

This will be only the second Nordic Championship ever held, and the fleet is already looking incredibly competitive. But we’re aiming higher—can we hit 25+ boats on the start line?

🇳🇴 Sterk norsk innsats under WASZP Games 2025 i Weymouth! 🌊

10 norske seilere representerte Norge i årets WASZP Games, og de leverte solide prestasjoner i det som har vært et av de største og mest kompetitive WASZP Games noensinne – med over 250 deltakere fra hele verden!

☀️ Mesterskapet ble gjennomført i klassisk britisk sommervær med krevende og varierende vindforhold – og det norske laget viste at de behersker foiling på toppnivå:

✨ Markus Berthet (Kongelig Norsk Seilforening) og Mikal Tveita (Åsane Seilforening) kvalifiserte seg til gullfinalen, og leverte flere sterke løp mot verdens beste foilere.

🥇 Pia Henriette Brun Tveita (Åsane Seilforening) tok gull i 7.5 klassen for jenter!

🥈 Martinius Melleby Hopstock (Arendals Seilforening) tok sølv i 7.5 klassen for gutter – en imponerende prestasjon blant mange sterke juniorer!

💪 I 8.2 klassens sølvfinale stilte Pia, Pernille Eftang (Sandefjord Seilforening), Nora Doksrød (Sandefjord Seilforening), Marie Butler Wang (Tønsberg Seilforening), Axel Heiberg (Kongelig Norsk Seilforening) og Matias Laranjinha (Sandefjord Seilforening) – hvor alle de fire jentene endte blant topp 10 i kvinneklassen, og bekreftet Norges posisjon blant de beste foilingsnasjonene blant jenter i verden!

👏 Sam Leikvang (Kongelig Norsk Seilforening) seilte i bronsefinalen og fullførte med stil etter en uke med verdifull erfaring og læring.

🏆 Årets verdensmester ble Federico Bergamasco (ITA) foran Pablo Astiazaran (ESP) og Antonio Gasperini (ESP).

Vi takker alle seilere, støtteapparat, trenere og foreldre for en fantastisk uke i Weymouth – og gleder oss allerede til neste WASZP-sesong! 🚀

🥇 Pia is World Champion in the 7.5 Rig! 🇳🇴

After five days of intense racing, shifting conditions, and tight battles on the water, our youngest female sailor, Pia Henriette Brun Tveita (Åsane Seilforening), climbed all the way to the top to take gold in the Women’s 7.5m rig division at the 2025 WASZP Games in Weymouth! ⚡👏

Meanwhile, the rest of her Helly Hansen WASZP Team teammates fought hard in the 8.2 Silver Fleet, with Nora Doksrød, Pernille Eftang, and Marie Butler Wang finishing 6th, 7th, and 9th in the overall women’s category. A fantastic performance from the full Norwegian female squad! 💪🇳🇴
