Came from Canada and still fell in love with Norway. You'll know it's her before you see her — thick accent and the strongest voice in the bus.

🩸 She has some unfinished business with Zambezi rapid on the Otta river. She doesn't talk about it. You shouldn't ask.
🍌 Baking a banana bread so good it basically became the main reason people show up in the morning.

🎉 Today a fresh batch of local school graduates from Heidal skule joined us on the water! These legends held their T-grips and laughed at every single one of Ben's jokes (yes, even that one — you know the one), and somehow survived a full day without checking their phones. 😎 Just kidding.

Evening rafting on Sjoa hits different. 🌅
The canyon glows. the river turns gold. somewhere around the solstice, the sunset lasts three hours — three full hours of the most dramatic lighting you've ever seen from inside a raft.

You can never step into the same river twice!
🌊 Especially after a Norwegian winter. snowmelt, new rocks, shifted currents — the river rewrites itself every spring. same canyon, completely different beast.

River guides 🐊
Scientists are still studying them. Here's what we know so far:
👉🏻 In the morning, they professionally explain how to survive/enjoy Class 4 rapids. In the afternoon, they're singing ABBA on the raft. Nobody understands how this works — but it does.
👉🏻 They know every rock, every current, every wave on the river. Ask them about their hobbies though — and suddenly you discover your guide is a competitive skier, an amateur guitarist AND holds the local record for eating tacos. All at once.
👉🏻 These are the people who look you dead in the eye before a run and say "don't worry, it'll be fine" — then scream "PADDLE! PADDLE! PADDLE!" at you with the biggest grin you've ever seen.
👉🏻And you know what? They're right every single time.
If there's one thing you'll take home from your trip to Sjoa — it's probably a story your guide told you 🔥
