Squatting...always challenging for me. However, and specially being over 40 it is key to keep my leg strength! Not only to avoid the "over 40 chicken leg syndrome" (just made that up 😊) which does not look good, but because leg strength is a strong indicator of longevity. Check out this study in the Journal of Aging and Health. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21081704/. The National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey observed more than 1,200 adults over the age of 55 and found that leg strength was one of two indicators (the other being fat mass) that predicted good physical function in older adults.

So, for you all that entered or are about to enter middle age start worrying about keeping that leg strength. To look better, perform better and live longer!
