I had a discussion recently about this exact same thing with a crossfitter (is this even a word?). TACFIT might look similar to a Crossfit workout, but the philosophy is different, the goal is different. Training tactically prepares you to function at a higher level! After a good TACFIT or FlowFit workout, you feel, that you've left with more energy and ready to take on your next challenge. Why is that?
- My actual workouts are somewhere between 20-30 minutes, plus warmup and cooldown/compensation. Not 60-90 minutes full on.
- People who used to destroy themselves in workouts, also have to take days off. They swing the pendulum between extreme activity and total inactivity. I vary the intensity, respecting my physical and neurological fatigue for the day! But I train every day. Consistency is key!
So if you complain that you're too tired to work out, you have the wrong workout in mind... do the one that is right for you, today!
