The inevitable crash after a high is upon us

Going back an reminding the soul about the winning moments of day one - the 4.5h of sleep, the race-ready brains, the cock-up start reminding us to focus; every moment that led to this - two bullets. Two bullets - one almost not happening after a tactical error, only winning by a bowsprit-lenght.

So much progress and so, so, so much learning both on and off the water. Figuring out stuff we need to work on; setting of boundaries, communicating clearly and being present in the moment - as well as processing emotions without letting them take over.

The flow of the team and how we function together. It is so incredibly important and takes a long while to build for some of us, but when the trust is there we perform.

Turnes out too, that all the work we've put in has put us ahead of the curve - 1,5 years to be precise. So now we're going to rest a little, before we put our heads down, get to work and maximise output for next year's season ⛵🩷⛵❄️⛵

It's been an eventful couple of days ⛵ we have improved leaps and bounds from last year and from the European Championship.

No matter how it ends, we started this with a bang and proved some very important points to our selves and to the world. We. Are. Solid.

And most of all we're having fun! Cue the best comment ever, when skipper said as we were leading the fleet and approaching an upwind mark: "wait, is this the top mark or the gate?"

All the hours of sailing is paying off. So is the hours of forced rest as we were both trying to recover from burnout after last season. It was hard, all of it. But now we can enjoy and sail fast and reap the benefits of our progression.

Wow. The only word to describe it. We had one goal this championship: place in the top 10.

It has been very mentally challenging when the first day ended on such an incomparable high, but we made it!

Final results: 8th overall

So many new friendships and connections, alongside favourite competitors - and showing ourselves and our coaches that the knowledge base we are slowly building is translating into results.

Women in Sailing! This year Trygve Gulbrandsens minnefond was instrumental in helping us achieve an important goal:

Building connections and represent our sport to further the growth of women in sailing.

We are working towards a womens initiative that will create a safe space for women in Para inclusive Sailing and here are two fabulous allies resulting from the networking we tirelessly do:

After a well completed championship hosted by and run by were headed home to work on how to best untilize the common resources we have so more Para Inclusive Women feel comfortable exploring our sport.

It's that time of the Year again: The funky what-the...-is-going-on faces are back in action neatly packaged in the champions' championship 😊

What a weekend! Dead on our feet, happy as clams, teambuilding with the boys and sneaky on the start line, already plans being made for how to adjust the boat to suit our challenges.

We loved! Sailing with the best of the best, sailed our hearts out and so hard a beanie when flying
