New data reveals the global landscape of anti-doping violations across all sports and countries. Our comprehensive database analysis shows anabolic agents dominate with 6,463 cases, representing the most frequently detected prohibited substances worldwide.
The data encompasses nine primary substance classes, with stimulants (1,519 cases) and undisclosed substances (1,094 cases) following anabolic agents. Track and field leads in violations with 3,404 cases, followed by weightlifting (1,586) and cycling (1,468).
Geographic distribution shows the Russian Federation with 1,426 violations, the United States with 1,051, and India with 1,021 cases. The database spans violations from 1968 to present, documenting sanctions across all sports globally.
