Welcome! The page contains information about Cristiane and Marius sailing expedition. Our goal is to sail around South America. He got a nurse degree in 2011.

Cristiane Palaretti is from Sao Paulo, Brazil. She is a typical Brazilian girl, with lots of energy, a beautiful smile and ready to have fun. Cristiane knows what she wants, and she usually gets it no matter how challenging it is. I got married to her only 6 months after we met. Cristiane lives now in San Diego, USA. In 2012, when I was sailing in the Caribbean Sea, I decided that I wanted to sail around South America. I met Cristiane in Tonga the same year. We had only been together for some months before we got married in May 2013. Today, my plan is to move to San Diego for a half year. When Cristiane finished with her masters in March, we are both moving to Norway to save money for our trip. Our goal is to be out sailing in 2015. Expediton 2015

Our plan is to buy a boat only some months before we set sail. Cristiane and I do not know where we will buy our boat yet, but we are thinking about Europe, USA or the Caribbean. The boat should be made of steel, since we are planning to sail all the way down to Antarctica. We expect that the budget for the boat will be approximately 40000-50000 U.S Dollars. What are we gonna be doing? Cristiane is going to do research on coral reefs, sea water, climate change, fish and fisheries. Marius will be the captain of the boat. He will start a relief fund, and plans to work as a volunteer nurse. They both have a passion, climbing. They will be climbing as much as possible during the trip. Other interests include music, science, history, geography, surfing and diving. This journey is gonna be so much fun, maybe you can join us on a part of our trip as well.

Santa Valley

In Norwegian «Nissedal», located in the district of Telemark.
Anders and me went to climb Hægefjell (1021 amls), a beautiful and easy climb for beginners and experienced as well. Anders with his calculation it would take 7,5 hour from Oslo, but surprisingly with my car (Penthouse 2) we made it in 4 hours:) We strongly recommend this beautiful place for hiking and climbing enthusiasts, it is one of the great mountains around Oslo.

Here is more details about OPERATION SRACUSA

Sea Shepherd Global announces the launch of Operation Siracusa 2016; the third consecutive campaign to tackle poaching and illegal fishing in the Plemmirio Marine Reserve on the east coast of Syracuse, Sicily (Italy).

Led by Sea Shepherd Italia, Sea Shepherd volunteers will work in collaboration with the Italian Coast Guard and onshore authorities to ensure law enforcement, to document poaching activities, and focus to media attention on the devastating consequences of poaching on the the marine environment in the region.

The Sea Shepherd ship, The MV Sam Simon, will be on location in the region and will use its resources to lend support to the campaign.
