🐾 We are hiring guides & dog handlers for the Autumn & Winter season 2026–2027
Into Nature is a small dog sledding company and long distance racing kennel located in the Tromsø region.
🐕🦺 We run small-group tours and focus on authentic Arctic experiences and very high standards of animal welfare.
We also participate in long distance races such as Finnmarksløpet 1200km. Our dogs are trained athletes and dog welfare and training are a big part of our daily work.
The handlers will also be involved in training, conditioning and kennel routines related to racing dogs.
We will have around 40 dogs and puppies in the kennel.
❄️ It is physical work, long days, and sometimes tough weather: cold, wind, rain, snow and darkness.
You will be tired, wet, dirty and sometimes frozen. But you will also work with amazing dogs, see northern lights, beautiful mountains and be part of a small passionate team.
⚠️ This job is amazing for the right person, but very difficult for the wrong one.
📋 The job includes:
Daily dog care (feeding, cleaning, health checks)
Harnessing and unharnessing dogs
Paws check / Put – remove a lot of booties
Preparing sleds and equipment
Guiding dog sledding tours
Helping with guests and campfire activities
Kennel cleaning and maintenance
Helping with training dogs and race preparation
Stretching and massaging the dogs
General base work
👤 We are looking for people who:
Love dogs and animals
Are not afraid of hard physical work
Can work in cold, wet and windy conditions
Are reliable and responsible
Can work in a small team and live in a remote place
Are independent (shopping, daily life, transport etc.)
Have a driving licence (own car and trailer license is a big plus)
Experience with dogs, outdoor work or tourism is a plus
📅 Work period: From August, latest 1st September 2026 – To end of March 2027
📍 Location: Malangen area, near Tromsø, Norway
