Via Trout & Salmon Magazine // "Right from the outset, Scott’s new GT, slightly shorter than the other rods at 8ft 10in, delivered an exceptionally smooth performance with outstanding feedback, producing tight loops that combined accuracy and distance with ease. Equally at home with the Tactical and Universal Taper lines, it proved intuitive to cast, requiring little thought or effort from the caster.
The Power Taper, however, proved too heavy for the rod’s traditional medium-fast action and diminished the beautifully progressive feel that made the GT so enjoyable.
Although it carries the classic styling of a long-established rod series – dark grey blank, burgundy whippings, cocobolo wood insert and half-wells handle — the performance of the impressive X-Core blank felt thoroughly modern.
Roger said: “I could fish with this every day. I wish
I owned one.” While Pete described it as: “A dry-fly dream rod.” Both agreed it was their standout dry-fly rod of the test".

“Waterworks-Lamson was founded thirty years ago by three brothers who share a love of the outdoors. We also shared the confidence that by combining our skills and experience we could create better gear for one of our outdoor passions: fly fishing.

We began as self-funded and independent optimists, doing our product development in Ketchum’s cheapest available work space, our testing on Silver Creek and shipping from our garage. We seemed to be on to something because guides and fishermen quickly discovered and appreciated what we were up to. As we grew, we built an eclectic team to join us in our original purpose — to “make cool sh*t”.
