Yoga can take countless forms. For me, yoga is about more than simply moving from one posture to another.
I’m interested in what happens beneath the surface – how muscles and joints work together, how the body is organised, and how small adjustments in technique and alignment can create greater awareness, strength and stability.
I have developed a particular depth of knowledge around the back and knees, and these areas receive special attention in my teaching. I’m especially interested in building a body that is strong, stable, mobile and resilient – and in learning how to work with the body as it changes.
This becomes particularly relevant as we move into our 40s and beyond. Not necessarily because we need to do less, but because we may benefit from understanding our bodies better and moving with greater precision.
But yoga is not only about the body.
Breath, awareness and the ability to find stillness are just as important. For me, stillness can be found in a quiet posture – but also in the middle of movement.
This is the combination I bring into my classes:
precision + strength + awareness + breath + stillness.
I have also developed training sessions based on many of these same principles – because I believe in building capacity, not simply performing in the moment.
A deeper approach to understanding and moving your body.
This is one part of what yoga is about for me.

BACK TO BASICS
Sometimes the smallest things make the biggest difference.
This week, we slow down, refine and reconnect.
Less about doing more.
More about feeling more.
