Halden HEMA Halden HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) is a historical fencing club with a focus on longsword.

We train historical techniques based on fencing manuals, but with modern protection gear and blunt longswords. Our aim is to create a safe and pleasant environment for those who wish to practice historical fencing in Halden. Training Schedule:
Wednesday 19:00 - 21:00
Sunday 18:00 - 20:00

Today we took part in celebrating ”the arrival of the King” (Kongen kommer) i Fredrikstads Gamlebyen. Lots of sparring among ourselves, great fights with kids and parents and lessons to curious reenacters. In all a great day.

Under kan du se en smakebit på hva du får lære på nybegynnerkurset vårt! Du er velkommen på gratis nybegynnerkurs i morgen, onsdag 11. mars kl 19-21 og søndag 15. mars kl 18-20. Det er bare å møte opp og krever ikke påmelding. Håper vi ses der! 😊⚔️

Mindre än en vecka kvar till vårens nybörjarkurs! Vi glädjer oss till att möta nyfikna nya kamrater. Det enda du behöver är träningskläder, skor för inomhusbruk och en vattenflaska. Väl mött onsdag 11/3 kl 19.00

Hanne was in Helsinki at Helsinki Longsword Open this weekend! She competed in Women's+ saber and got to the quarterfinals where she lost in a tight match. Well done! Congratulations to Håvard from FKFD who won the Bronze in the Rapier and dagger tournament! Overall, the Norwegian team did a great job judging, fencing, coaching and helping with running the event. We are looking forward to next year already!

We had a great time at today! We will be back tomorrow. Please come and visit us if you want to see some fencing or maybe try yourself with a foam sword. We display historical fencing techniques at 11.30 and 14.00.
