The heads for our 380" race motor "Spurven" have been to Skinne Racing for a freshen up. We had some valveseats go bad creating a big sealing issue most of last season on cylinder 8. When Andreas Ruud got to work he discovered cyl4 was right around the corner. New seats were made and we wont be leaking horsepower all over the place.
In 2026 we will be testing a new to us Quick Silver Marine engine oil supplied by Skinne Racing. Its going to be another exiting season.

Here is a inboard slow motion of the big wheelie at Finals. This was the 2nd run that day. The 1st run the car also made a big wheelie but 2nd gear calmed it down and we made the fastest pass ever at this track crossing the 60ft with the rear tires. 2nd hit The car got up on the rear tires again. This time putting in 2nd gear just made the car angry and and it felt like it was flipping over backwards. This caught me off guard and i lifted the trottle a bit too much and too fast causing the Liberty transmission to push the 2nd gear back out even though I held pressure on the gear leaver. I was'nt able toget it back into gear mid air and had no chance of getting back on the trottle to set it down smoothly. I knew right away that this was going to be a hard landing but could not do anything about it. The setup and conditions were exactly the same between those two runs, exept that the clutch had a bit more heat in it on the 2nd go. Ive been told Im just not a good enough driver and thats probably right. If I kept my cool and lifted a tiny bit less and held the leaver even harder we might have brought the car home in one piece.

Once the welder is out to repair the chassis after a big wheelie wich resulted in a hard landing we are moving the driveline backwards 19mm (3/4") in the car to get some weight off the front end and more weight on the rear. This will hopefully make it easier to control the front end in the future since we wont be as dependent of weight transfer go hook up the rear tires. Later we might look back at this exact moment and say "it seemed like a good idea at the moment".

After two weeks with a bad flu and a nasty infection I'm finally back on my feet and getting  some progress on the racec...
