After decades of dedication to European and international softball, Bert Loggen and Carolien Stadhouders are retiring from their roles as WBSC Europe officials, bringing to a close two remarkable careers that have left a lasting impact on the sport.

Het stof is inmiddels neergedaald op de velden en bij Firebirds gaat de focus weer terug naar de eigen competitie.

Maar wat kijken wij nog steeds met een grote glimlach terug op het Zeister Slot Toernooi. Een fantastisch weekend vol mooie wedstrijden, sportiviteit, warmte, gezelligheid en geweldige mensen langs en op de velden.

Om nog even na te genieten, delen we hierbij de foto’s van dag 3.

Iedereen nogmaals bedankt voor jullie komst, inzet en enthousiasme.

The dust has settled on the fields, and Firebirds BSC is now turning its focus back to its own competition.

But we are still looking back with a big smile on the Zeister Slot Tournament. It was a fantastic weekend full of great games, sportsmanship, warm weather, good vibes and amazing people both on and around the fields.

To enjoy the weekend one more time, we’re sharing the photos from day 3.

Thank you all once again for being there, for your energy and for making it such a great weekend.

Het Zeister Slot Toernooi zit erop, en wat kijken we terug op een zeer geslaagde editie!

Het was een druk, warm en vooral gezellige editie met veel mooie wedstrijden, sportiviteit en een geweldige sfeer langs de velden. In de finale nam Amager Vikings Softball Club het op tegen Olympia Haarlem. Met een eindstand van 5-1 ging de toernooiwinst naar Amager Vikings.

Ook een groot compliment aan alle deelnemende teams: Burros Team, Olympia Haarlem, Caribeños DE LA Laguna, Amager Vikings, Kbbsf-FrbbsBelgium en Czech Softball. Jullie hebben er samen een prachtig toernooi van gemaakt.

Daarnaast willen we alle vrijwilligers enorm bedanken voor hun inzet voor en tijdens het toernooi. Zonder jullie hulp was deze editie niet mogelijk geweest. Ook dank aan alle bezoekers voor de gezelligheid, support en mooie sfeer rondom de velden.

De uitslagen en eindstand zijn toegevoegd aan dit bericht, zodat iedereen nog eens kan terugkijken op alle wedstrijden.

Bedankt allemaal en graag tot 15, 16 en 17 mei 2027!

The Zeister Slot Tournament has come to an end, and we can look back on a very successful edition!

It was a busy, warm and above all enjoyable tournament, with many great games, sportsmanship and a fantastic atmosphere around the fields. In the final, Amager Vikings faced Olympia Haarlem. With a final score of 5-1, Amager Vikings claimed the tournament victory.

A big compliment as well to all participating teams: Burros Team, Olympia Haarlem, Caribeños, Amager Vikings, Belgium and Czechia. Together, you made it a wonderful tournament.

We would also like to sincerely thank all volunteers for their hard work before and during the tournament. This edition would not have been possible without you. And of course, thank you to all visitors for the great support, energy and atmosphere around the fields.

The results and final standings are included with this post, so everyone can look back on all the games.

Thank you all, and we hope to see you again on may 15, 16 and 17 2027!

Er staat nog genoeg op het programma: kwartfinales, halve finales en om 15:00 uur de finale.

☀️ Dag 2 van het Zeister Slot toernooi zit erop!
Een drukke en zonnige dag met veel publiek en mooie wedstrijden op het veld 🥎
Na twee dagen is het nog spannend en morgen valt de beslissing!

Morgen staat de finaledag op het programma, met de finale rond 15:00 uur. Kom vooral nog langs om de teams aan te moedigen en samen het toernooi mooi af te sluiten 🙌

After two days, everything is still open and tomorrow we will decide the winner!

Day 1 of the Zeister Slot Tournament is done! ☀️🥎

A warm and busy day with a great atmosphere and a lot of softball. Thanks to everyone who came out to support the teams today!

Current leader after the first games: Olympia Haarlem with 3 wins from 3 games. Tomorrow we continue with Day 2 and more exciting matchups on the schedule.
