The factors of the vibration intensity
The widespread opinion that the intensity of a vibration treatment is determined only be the frequency is only half true.

An important factor for the intensity is the pressing force over which the vibration is introduced into the body. When using vibrating plates that force is determined more or less by the body weight, since they are mostly being used in standing or seated position.
This effect one can easily be sensed by pressing a hand against the vibrating plate, at one point with little pressure and at another with a lot of pressure. Thus, a the training intensity applied to a heavier person is higher than for lighter persons, which might be inappropriate in relation to the individual physical capacity.

During local vibration the pressing force can permanently be changed. Modern devices such as vib4back make use of a pressure-sensitive sensor system that autmatically starts the treatemtn as soon as the correct pressure is applied.


The advantages of transverse force direction
Our technology enables the application of vibration to any desired part of the body in any desired force direction. Thus, the vibration can be introduced to the body in transverse direction with the advantage that the treated body region can balance the vibration amplitude.

Therefore the transmission of axial impacts through spine and head can be reduced significantly. Local vibration enables the targeted and direct introduction of vibrations into a particular region, reaching for example the core without involving the limbs.
