Mum reality... ❤️
Just when you think you've got this stage figured out, everything changes.
One minute you're packing spare clothes and snacks...
The next you're navigating tweens, more independence, and a whole new version of motherhood.
The funny thing us i can remember going through different phases when he was younger , and it always harder to adjust .
You just get into a routine and everything changes ...
But I think when our kids are younger out focus is just literally around them and not so much on ourselves .
Well fir me it was anyway, maybe being a mum for the first time.
But now I've realised these in-between years aren't just about our children growing. They're about us growing too.
I am seeing it differently, its almost giving ourselves breathing space.
Learning to let go a little.
Reconnecting with ourselves.
Reconnecting with things you love and goals you want to go after .
I'm learning that this stage isn't just about trusting our children as they grow. It's about trusting ourselves too.
Trusting the process.
Trusting that letting go doesn't mean losing the connection. ❤️
And trusting that, as they grow into themselves, we can grow into ourselves too.✨️

Hi, 👋🏻 I'm Lisa. I'm a 53-year-old British mum living in the Netherlands, raising an 11-year-old son.
I'm sharing what it looks like to navigate this season of motherhood.
While reconnecting with myself, building a business, and creating a life that grows alongside him.
Because maybe this next chapter isn't about getting our old lives back.
Maybe it's about building lives that fit who we're becoming. ❤️
