That was 2022! We finished 16th in a fleet of 57 boats. A result we are happy with bow but hungry for better. We were already happy it was warm and sunny in comparison to the Dutch championships.

The event was a lot of fun with a effective and very communicative race committee. Really happy that .sailing speaks a bit of French😅 to understand the Race committee.

So in all, a succesfull event with a bit of a drive but it was worth it. The boat is back in for some light TLC (because there is always a job list), and next up is the Europeans in Saint Cast le Guildo on the 2nd of July.

Yes! After the Dutch open championships 2 weekes ago, sailing in 25 knots and an air temperature between 1 and 5 degrees Celcius, we are in La Trinite sur Mer!

Sailing in 15 to 20 degrees Celsius and 10 knots wind improves the atmosphere and more for giving on the hanfs and fingers.

59 registered boats in the J80 class, light weather and a lot of current will make for an awesome event.

Lets go!!

For Sale! Yes.. you're reading this right. Its been a while and we have been racing our J80 a lot more than the mighty j111.

Unfortunately we wont be racing the j111 anymore. The owners E & J have decided to put her up for sale at and let her be sailed and/or raced by a new owner and crew!

We had so much fun in the J111 class and with the boat. Its time for us to move on.

The boat is in real good sailing condition. We actually prepped her at her best for the 2020 season. The boat had always been maintained in racing conditions during summer season, with owners and crew that treated her maintenance throuroughly.

The Red Herring sailing team will sail on for this moment in the J80 with a very nice European series comming up.

Check the link in the bio for all the details.

What a great long weekend of racing at the Van Uden Reco Medemblik Regatta with the boys and as interim tactician and coach. It was a bit rusty at first as all "first" racing of the season is but we grew into it once again..

We thank the organisation, race committee and markboat operators for the swift and propper race organisation. A lot of RC's can learn from this! Quick turnaround of the races and good mark laying without endless waiting..

The post-sailing partybox with snacks and beers for the teams post was a really nice touch to make the best out of the covid-19 situation!

Credits to Laurens Morel and Mies Mols for the photo and video's. Much appreciated!

The boat will be on the dry for the winter and the team will be sailing the J80 Red Herrinkje in Naarden at the Frostbite Cup with 30 other J80!

Let's see what next season will bring.. hopefully we can join and bring the heat to our friends in England..

The crew had a fun weekend.. Joan, Gerwin and Lee Verschuren were racing succesfully at the Lelystad Regatta on the Mat 10.10 of Racing-Yachts.com. Racing also with former teammate Jochem Bart! 😁🏆

Cedric was racing the DSWZ Broach SB20 at the Open Dutch Sailing Championships. He is trying to get much as racing days in as possible that scheduling of both teams overlapped so he was Sunday off with Team Homanit Melges32💪

It was amazing tight racing in Dutch SB20 Class Association..

Team Lällekonig had their baptism of fire with their new J99! Funny to see that it was once again tight racing against eachother. Congratulations with the second place. 🥈💯

Next up is the Van Uden Reco Stellendam Medemblik in Medemblik with the J-111. Get the boat through here racing paces for the first time this year😅. Looking forward to it!

A busy weekend a head for some of the team and J-111 sailors.. Tomorrow is the kick-off of the Open Dutch Sailing Championships.. huge event for Olympic and Sportsboat classes with even a waiting list.

Cedric Willekens is sailing with DSWZ Broach in the Dutch SB20 Class Association class with 18 boats.. a very competitive fleet and with 3 days of racing it could be anyones championship!

Also competing in the same class are Koen, Marco and Martijn from the J-111 Sweeny! Good luck to all!

Our other teammembers, Gerwin Jansen, Lee Verschuren and Joan Navarro sailing with Racing Yachts M.A.T. 10.10 at the Lelystad Regatta! With a diverse ORC Full Crew fleet of 21 boats that too could be a tight fleet..

In this fleet we see the J/111 - Northern European Fleet fleet members competing against eachother. Our friends from Lällekoning transitioned to a J99. Cool to see they are still racing and with the J/Boats, Newport, RI brand. Good luck Team!

The weather is looking awesome.. and the competition is excited.
