Good news for American pilgrims! Guides, books and pilgrims passports can once again be sent from the Netherlands to the United States via the regular postal service (PostNL).
It had been possible for a short while, but we wanted to be absolutely sure first that the order would arrive, and what the costs would be. We recently sent the first order to the US, and it has now arrived.
Fortunately, there are no import duties to pay on guides, pilgrim passports and books, so the extra costs aren’t too bad. However, in addition to the postage costs, there are also administration fees to pay.
Unfortunately, pilgrim items (souvenirs) cannot be ordered via the webshop. Import duties would have to be paid on these, which makes the process too complicated. This is because the webshop does not distinguish between different products; it only distinguishes based on the total order amount.
