A very sad message and condolences to all with this loss.
James has been to InterShoot many times as a jury member and was part of the crew.
His help and knowledge will be sorely missed!
Rest in peace, James and thanks for the good times.
We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of James Marsh-Brown, aged 79, a great man whose dedication to shooting spanned over five decades.
A talented shot himself, James competed and supported our sport at the very highest level, including the Tokyo, Munich and Atlanta Olympic Games, as well as the Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh. His passion extended far beyond competition, he gave countless hours as a coach, international judge, referee and chairman of clubs across the country.
James was a driving force for inclusivity, leading Disability Shooting Great Britain and championing opportunities for disabled shooters to reach their full potential on the world stage. His commitment to fairness, development and community was an inspiration to all who knew him.
James Marsh-Brown’s knowledge, generosity and unwavering belief in the power of our sport helped to shape target shooting in the UK for the better. He leaves behind a legacy that will continue to benefit athletes and volunteers for many years to come.
Our thoughts and sincere condolences are with his family, friends and everyone who had the privilege of working alongside him.
