~A reminder from my Spider plants:
This spider belonged to the previous tenant of my current home. She was not doing great when I adopted it, changed the pot, some love and I would still look at it thinking she doesn't look great. It seemed messy and not really growing, compared with the other one that I already had (pic two).
One day, scrolling in a plant advice page (yes, I'm that much of a plant lady), I see someone asking why her spider plant was not "curling". I stand, look at mine, and there is was, blooming full of curls.
Moral of the story:
We see through our own lens , through our own filters , of who we are, of what we know. In our way of seeing, we carry our wounds, dreams and traumas, nwe have expectations.
We see what we are searching for, or what we are ready to find.
What we are used to, what we already understood
What we are conscious enough to be aware of.
Is this a bad thing? I don't think so, I guess it's us tuning into our human experience, bringing our own unique perspective into this plane.
But today , I would like to remind myself that it is also good to see further, to open the eyes, the mind , the heart , a bit more. It can be scary, uncomfortable , difficult to understand. It might shake our structure, challenging us into de the unknown... but giving us then the opportunity to evolve, to see something new that is out there, ready to give us a fresh perspective.
