What. A. Night. 🔥

The Walhalla Team Battle absolutely delivered.

The energy was high, teams were hyped, people were cheering each other on like it was the World Cup finals, and the whole gym just felt alive. This is exactly why we love doing this.

Our routesetters got tons of compliments (you legends 💚), the boulders had just the right amount of trickery, and you could literally see teams developing tactics on the fly… plus a few “okay okay just one more try” moments. Beautiful.

And yes… we have our winners 🤝

But the real win was the atmosphere: we had new faces, familiar faces, lots of laughing, mutual suffering, support, beta sharing, and pure team spirit.

We’re definitely doing this again.
No question.

🧗‍♀️ TEAM BATTLE and SETTING UPDATE! 🧗‍♂️
This Thursday we’re doing things a bit differently.

Instead of resetting one full sector, we’ll be setting 20 new boulders spread across the whole gym. All of them part of the Walhalla Team Battle on Saturday, Nov 8! 🎉

So expect:
✅ Fresh problems on multiple walls
✅ Suitable for all levels (from 4 up to 7a+)
✅ Lots of variety, lots of laughs, lots of attempts 😉
✅ And yes, you cant try them already on Thursday or Friday if you are joining the comp on Saturday.

How the Team Battle works

Form a team of 3–6 climbers

Write your team name on the board in the gym (make it a good one 😎)

Each boulder is worth points

Every team member who tops it earns those points

At the end, total points are divided by the number of teammates → fair score, teamwork matters

→ This comp is all about fun and climbing together, not about being the strongest 💛

Curious about bouldering but not sure where to begin? This 4-week beginner course will teach you all the fundamentals – from movement basics to safety and climbing technique.

It’s fun, accessible, and a great way to meet fellow newcomers and get to know the vibrant Walhalla climbing community in Den Haag.

💪 Join Our Cleaning Team at Boulderhal Walhalla.

We’re looking for new team members to help keep Boulderhal Walhalla, and our other gym, clean and ready each day. Are you reliable, energetic, and an early riser? Then we’d love to hear from you!

What you’ll do:
• Work early morning shifts starting between 6:00 and 10:00 AM, about 3 hours per shift.
• Clean the gym before opening: training areas, carpets, floors, vacuuming, dusting, furniture.
• Tasks vary each day depending on what’s needed
• Flexibility is important, you may be asked to cover shifts on short notice

What we offer on top of salary:
• Free access to all our gyms
• Discounts in our shops and on climbing gear
• A friendly and positive work environment

The details:
• Minimum of 2 shifts per week
• Weekend availability is required

We’re doing something fun and new! 🎉
Think less “serious competition” and more climbing together, having fun, and sharing laughs 🤝.

Here’s how it works:
✅ Teams of 3–6 climbers

✅ Your team score = total points ÷ number of teammates
✅ Small prize ceremony at the end
