It's official!
Our Airbus 8way Lineup for the upcoming World Cup and European Championships:
Caro, Dieter, Karin, Manf, Max, Simone, Spieli and Steffen.
We just had a fun (and promising) training camp at the best 8way indoor playground: 🌪️

All but one of us have been part of various Airbus lineups in the past. And we're really happy, to see more of our former (and current) teammates, who are competing with "Chicanovas" 💪🏼
So happy we'll have two strong German 8way teams in Weembi! 🥳

From 9 to 11 of April 2026 Weembi - chute libre indoor will host the Indoor Skydiving World Cup & the European Championships in Formation Skydiving WCIS 2026 - Lille 🏆

We did it 🥇

Last week we won the European Championships in FS 8-way Skydiving 🪂

Countless hours of training, dedication, and teamwork have paid off. We had a lot of ups and downs, not only during training, but also our emotional rollercoaster during the competition.

Congratulations also to ShinobiXL 🥈 and Carl 8 🥉

Big shout-out to the staff at for organizing this event 🫶🏻

A huge thank you to everyone who supported us along the way.

Interview with Kurt Gaebel about our emotional rollercoaster at the Worldcup 2025

AIRBUS WITH ERIK LORENZ IS STILL COMPETITIVE: The 2025 story of the German national 8-way team, Airbus Oceanside Illertissen, began when team captain Thomas "Spieli" Spielvogel decided to join previous opponent Operation Adler, who had competed for Germany with their own 2024 lineup at the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2024. Steffen Schiedek became the new team captain and recruited a new 2025 lineup, with 4-way and 8-way veterans Henning Stumpp and Uli Sehrbrock replacing Thomas Spielvogel and Holger Sass. Main goal for the year was the participation at the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2025. New member Uli Sehrbrock had to withdraw right before the main training camp of the year, and Manfred Moritz was available to fill the slot. The team managed to complete approx. 60 training jumps with the next new team member and arrived ready for 8-way action at Skydive Teuge. Did you know ..... we're covered by National Skydiving League news again 😞

After a 5-point deduction in Round 3 we recovered really well in the next Round. But the happy faces only lasted until landing, when one of our members experienced a hard landing.

However, Erik will now leave his cameras on the ground and step in, while Kaufi (Flytopia) takes the video slot 📽️

BAD LUCK FOR GERMANY'S AIRBUS 8-WAY: The last NSL News update from the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2025 on Saturday covered the 8-way competition after Round 2. The efforts of the German 8-way team Airbus Oceanside Illertissen to defend Germany's bronze medal position in the world was the main topic. The story mentioned that Airbus won the first FAI medals for Germany at a world championship since 1985 when they placed 3rd at the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2022. Operation Adler defended the FAI bronze medals successfully at Crystal Coast 2024, and Airbus came to Skydive Teuge to do the same this year at the outdoor world cup. The situation after Round 2 on Saturday was promising for the German 8-way team, who were only one point behind U.S. team Mandatory Fun! with player-coach Craig Girard. Then 8-way disaster happened in Round 3. Airbus collected as many point deductions as the final score of five points was, and they found themselves seven points behind Mandatory Fun!...
