Dutch championship race 3
Location:
A weekend with some great weather, although luck definitely wasn’t on our side. Let’s reflect on what happened...
Bjorn:
Driving very fast times in all the training sessions, we knew Bjorn was going to do well this weekend. Sadly, we had brake issues on Saturday and engine issues on Sunday. Despite the bad luck, Bjorn still managed to qualify in a decent spot and held on to it for dear life as everyone got stuck behind the Bjorn Train in every race.
He defended like an absolute beast, but let’s hope we can avoid any issues next race!
Ids:
You’d think having one golden #1 driver with engine issues would be bad enough... now imagine having two. Actually, no need to imagine, because Ids also had engine issues on both Saturday and Sunday. His engine kept sputtering and lacked performance during the races.
Even with the issues, Ids still drove very well, finishing two heats in P5 and one heat in P4.
I’m starting to think having a #1 sticker is a disadvantage...
Yme:
Finally, a driver without any issues! Sadly for Yme, he was lacking a bit of pace and just couldn’t find a way past the driver ahead of him. It wasn’t until the final race that things changed, as the other driver received a penalty.
This once again proved that Strijen remains a track where overtaking is very, very hard.
The Kartingboys were also with us this weekend and it was great fun working together. They showed insane growth, and I want to congratulate and on their podium finishes!
Hopefully next time our bad luck turns into good luck, and we’ll see everyone back in Kerpen! 🏁
