Why do students from around the world choose India for their yoga teacher training?
Because studying yoga in India offers more than a change of location. It gives you the opportunity to encounter the tradition within the cultural context in which it developed.
At Arhanta Yoga, students from across the world come to Khajuraho, India, for our 200-Hour Residential Hatha Yoga Teacher Training.
Over 21 days in a traditional ashram environment, you study and practice:
• Classical Hatha Yoga and proper alignment
• Yoga philosophy and anatomy
• Pranayama and meditation
• Teaching methodology and adjustments
• 60 hours of hands-on teaching practice
The program is Yoga Alliance Accredited, guided by Dr. Ram Jain, Ph.D., and rooted in a 5th-generation yoga heritage. More than 24,000 yoga teachers from 94 countries have graduated from Arhanta Yoga.
But the value of studying in India is not only in where you are. It is in having the time and environment to engage with yoga as a discipline of study and practice.
For 21 days, your focus is on learning, practicing, observing, teaching, and receiving guidance—allowing you to explore yoga beyond the poses.
