SOLSTICE ECSTATIC BEACH DANCE + CACAO CEREMONY
Children of Light, hear the ancient call. The wheel has turned to its most sacred station. On Friday, June 19th, we gather at the edge of the world—where sand meets sea and sky—to honor the Summer Solstice, that most powerful threshold when the sun reaches its zenith and the fire within all things burns brightest.

This is no ordinary gathering. This is a ritual of aliveness. We come to dance the light into being, to transform solar fire into movement, to open the gateways of the heart.

The Sacred Journey
Come barefoot to the vastness of the beach. Imagine the waves moving like dancing mirrors of light, the sun warming your skin, the soft magic awakening within you with messages from nature—whispers of something greater breathing through us.

19:00 – We gather in circle, welcoming the fire within.

19:20 – Heart of the Sun awakens the energy of summer's peak—a sacred performance that ignites the element of Fire.

19:30 – We drink the Wild Cacao from Peru's deep forests—a heart-opening medicine harvested with love by Indigenous hands. Through this sacred plant, we connect with forces we cannot see, yet that hold and support us.

20:00 – The Ecstatic Dance begins. A specially created music mix carries us into the waters, winds, and sunlight. We move as one with the elements, dancing the fire, the breath, the light itself into our bodies and souls.

22:30 – We close in circle as the sun sets, transformed.

The borders between worlds dissolve this night. Dance, Children of Light. Dance with the fire. Dance with the elements.

Come as you are. Bring bare feet, an open heart, and your willingness to move. Whether this is your first ecstatic dance or you've danced with us before – iedereen is welkom.

Why 9 May matters:
Voor de meesten is 9 mei een gewone dag. Maar 81 jaar geleden veranderde alles: de dood werd leven, de oorlog eindigde in alle landen en vrijheid keerde terug. Vanuit dat nieuwe begin ontstond de behoefte aan verbinding, en werd de Europese samenwerking geboren. Sindsdien vieren we op 9 mei Europadag, een dag van vrede, vrijheid en verbondenheid.

Blessed BELTANE greetings to all!🩵
Between the blossoming flowers of spring and the awakening of summer, we gather at the threshold of the year. Yesterday, we celebrated this grandiose festival upon the shore, where the ancient fires burned and our spirits danced with the tides.
I offer to you now my MUSIC MIX of our gathering—the rhythms that moved our bodies and connected us to the earth, the sky, and one another. Take these songs and dance them into every corner of your world. Yet know this: the dance is most powerful when shared in circle, when many hearts beat as one.

Our first Dance on the Beach this year! What an incredible celebration—connected to a Cacao Ceremony and the ancient festival of Beltane (the Spring fire festival). Yes, we will absolutely jump over the fire!

We are temporarily dancing in Delfgauw, every Sunday morning from 11:30 to 13:30. Why should you come dance with us? We have two DJs! Each time, Eva and Saryo take turns playing music for you. Both have different vibes, but they are in harmony with each other, creating a wonderful connection.

Their music is based on the 5Rhythms wave, which means the mix is starting with slowish and flowing tunes, gradually transitioning to more rhythmic tracks, which aare followed by high energetic songs. This allows dancers to truly release their energy. Next music is lyrical, joyful and uplifting. And we always end with slow, meditative music to help you feel the echoes of the dance in your bodies.This stillness creates a spacious and peaceful inner space.

We welcome you to join us this Sunday at Florijnstraat.

After the dance we will have a treat, homemade banana bread!
