During our CREST session, we did something meaningful: we looked inward as an organisation. One of the working groups took on the challenge of mapping TOP’s values.

The approach was as simple as it was powerful. Everyone was asked the same questions: When did you feel proud? How did TOP respond in a difficult moment? What should TOP never lose? No management document as a starting point. No list handed down from above. Just honest answers from the people who do the work every day.
And what did we find? The answers lined up in a way that was hard to ignore.

“We asked everyone separately — and yet we all told the same story.”

From those stories, the working group distilled five values that had always been there, but had never been written down this clearly:

𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁
We care for our people; their health and safety are our greatest value.

𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺
No matter where or how we work, we act as one team; across all roles, disciplines, and locations, united in support and shared responsibility.

𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 & 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁
We do what we promise and build long-term trust by being reliable for each other, every day

𝗢𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 & 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
We take ownership, act quickly, and find practical solutions, especially when challenges arise.

𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 & 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗲
Great work matters to us, shaped by our experience, guided by professionalism, and strengthened by continuous learning.

What makes this so remarkable? Josso Van Boxtel never presented these values in a meeting or had them printed on a poster. He lived them. Year after year. And it turns out they have become so deeply embedded in our team that we surfaced them ourselves, independently, without prompting.
That is not a coincidence. That is culture.

These five values are no longer background noise. They are a compass. They describe who we already are and point us toward who we want to keep being.

𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 – 𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗱

More than a week has passed, but we’re still reflecting on a great few days in Madrid!

Our colleagues Josso Van Boxtel, Remmelt Heemskerk and Karel van der Linde represented TOP at WindEurope 2026, reconnecting with familiar faces and meeting plenty of new ones. It was great to see that despite some recent headwinds in the industry, offshore wind — and floating wind in particular — remains very much alive and full of ambition.

We look forward to continuing to build on the connections made and to further strengthening our role in the offshore (floating) wind sector — whether in serial foundation manufacturing, fabrication or installation support.

We’re here to help drive the transition to reliable, clean energy.

Recently, our office team was invited to visit the Seven Borealis. This pipelay vessel is currently undergoing maintenance at Damen Shiprepair Botlek, and project manager Tanguy Cagé took our office employees on a guided tour of the vessel.

In this tour, our TOP’ers were explained the workings of the pipelay process. We saw how the pipes move from the storage areas to the firing line and took a look at the giant tensioners that hold the pipe while it is being lowered onto the seabed. A visit to the worksite of the stinger refurbishment was also included.

The final stop? A shared lunch on board. 🍽️

These moments are valuable for our team. They bring the reality of offshore work to life for the people supporting it from shore. A great visit in the books!

The Offshore Partners (TOP) has taken on the ballast work for a great operation supporting Subsea7’s pipelay vessel Seven Borealis. ⚓

To allow the vessel’s stinger to safely rest on cargo barge Green Barge 1, our team carried out and documented the ballast analyses – great work by Polina Davydova, who took care of the calculations.

Green Barge 1 will support the stinger throughout the stinger tackle overhaul project, under supervision of project manager Tanguy Cagé.

A solid combination of technical insight, planning and ex*****on, exactly what TOP is here for.

Last week, we gathered for a Easter lunch at The Offshore Partners and what a spread it was! 🐣

Everyone put in a great effort to bring something delicious, and with so many different cultures within our team, the table was full of dishes from all over the world. A wonderful reminder of what makes our team special.

Here’s a little recap of the day. Fair warning, it might make your mouth water.

We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!

Wouter Bezuidenhout — 10 years of impact:

Ten years offshore with The Offshore Partners is not just a job—it becomes a way of life. Life at sea runs on a different rhythm, shaped by long rotations, unpredictable weather, and the constant hum of machinery. Days blur together in twelve-hour shifts, often without weekends or holidays, where time is measured more by crew changes than calendar dates.

Safety is always front of mind, and every task carries a level of risk that requires discipline and trust in your team. Over time, you develop a sharp awareness, a kind of instinct that only comes from experience in high-stakes environments.

But the real challenge isn’t always the work—it’s the distance from home. Missing birthdays, anniversaries, and everyday moments becomes part of the sacrifice. Relationships are tested, and staying connected requires effort and understanding from both sides. When you do return home, there’s a strange adjustment period, as if you’re stepping between two different worlds.

Yet, there’s a unique reward in offshore life. The camaraderie is unlike anything on land. Crews become like family, bonded by shared routines, challenges, and the isolation of being miles from shore. There’s also a deep sense of pride in the work—knowing you’re part of something essential, often in environments few people will ever experience.

After ten years, offshore work leaves its mark. It shapes your character, builds resilience, and changes your perspective on time, money, and relationships. It’s not an easy path, but for those who choose it, it becomes a defining chapter—one that stays with you long after you step back onto solid ground.

My greatest appreciation for working at the The Offshore Partners was how they looked after me when I suddenly fell ill and had to be Medivac’d to a hospital. The care was unbelievable aswell as them focussing on my family at the same time. You give commitment and loyalty to your company and they give it straight back. I will always be grateful in how this was handled.

Last week we had the pleasure of attending the annual labour law congress organised by

With three inspiring speakers, the day provided valuable insights into the latest developments in labor legislation.

As a company, staying informed on these matters is essential on how we operate and how we support our people. We came back with fresh perspectives ready to put into practice.

And before heading home, we took a quick look inside the empty stadium. No fans, no noise, just the Kuip at its quietest. For any football fan, that’s worth a selfie.

Thank you Ten Holter Noordam advocaten for another well-organised and inspiring edition!

Let’s be honest, the weather isn’t great today. But you know what warms us up? Finding the right person for a great role.

We’re looking for a 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿 for one of our clients, a global offshore energy company active in oil, gas, and wind, based in South Holland.

While others run from the storm, you stay calm, keep the numbers tight, and make sure complex shipbuilding projects stay on track financially. That’s your thing.

🎁 What’s in it for you:
- Competitive salary + holiday allowance
- 40 vacation days + flexible working
- Great pension & health benefits
- Training budget to keep growing

Don’t let this opportunity hail down on someone else!

A nice share from our TOPPER Remmelt Heemskerk, who recently stepped back on board Heerema’s Sleipnir, almost 10 years after he was involved in the basic design. Great to see the result still standing strong. 👇

Good to be back on Heerema’s Sleipnir after almost 10 years when I had the pleasure of heading the Engineering team for the basic design with GVA Sweden. It is lovely to see her in pristine condition and seeing all the design ideas that came to fruition in the shipyard. Very fond memories of that time, working with the professional Heerema teams (with TOP personnel embedded) that would only go for the best. Also it was a textbook example whereby investing heavily in engineering (and R&D) prior to going to the shipyard paid off. Hardly any budget and building time overrun which is quite unique for such specialist large vessels with mission equipment. The Offshore Partners is grateful to be involved once more in quite a few upgrade and maintenance jobs for Heerema Marine Contractors vessels right now, always a pleasure working for them!
